About Maitri Yoga

Maitri is a Sanskrit work that means loving kindness, we start with being kind to ourselves on the mat then we can take it into our daily lives.

Yoga is not about achieving a particular shape or getting the “perfect” pose. For me, it is about enjoying what we can do with our body and mind and to move in a way that feels good. I encourage students to listen to their body and to do variations of movements that feel right for them.

I try to make classes holistic; we will work with our body and move in helpful ways but also appreciate our minds and emotions. I want my students to leave our sessions feeling mentally uplifted as well as physically revitalised.

Our practice is designed to help you connect with your body, calm your mind, and nurture your spirit. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner, you'll find a welcoming space to grow and flourish.
